Alyssa Smith – Recruitment Consultant
Alyssa is a graduate of Rowan University. After interviewing for her first job out of college, she fell in love with the HR field. In 2019, Alyssa landed her first recruiting position that focused on administrative roles for a large corporation. She was introduced to MSB by a former colleague in 2021. Now, Alyssa is focused on building relationships with her candidates and helping them find their dream role. When she is not working, you will find her snuggled up with her 2 pups!
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Hardworking, organized, dog lover.
What characteristic do you most admire in others?
Honesty and loyalty.
If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
I’m obsessed with Law & Order: SVU so probably a detective.
If you could give advice to your 13 year old self, what would you say?
Stop worrying about what other people think!
What are you most proud of?
I was the first person in my family to go to and graduate from college!
Ashley Powers – Recruitment Consultant
Ashley started out in property management in 2016 as a leasing professional in Greensboro, NC. Throughout her career, she has worked with Greystar, Hawthorne Residential Partners and Premier Property Management, working her way up the ranks to become a Property Manager. She gained the greatest experience and knowledge in her role as a Marketing and Leasing Director, where she traveled throughout the Southeast to help train, oversee daily operations and use her creativity to build relationships with her communities and co-workers. She brought these skills with her when joining MSB in February 2022. When Ashley isn’t recruiting, you can find her at the beach, spending time with her family and their Newfie pups, or brewery hopping with friends.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Hilarious, creative and extroverted.
What characteristic do you most admire in others?
Kindness, loyalty and honesty.
If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
I would be the proud owner of a large dog farm for strays. Bring me all the pups!
If you could give advice to your 13 year old self, what would you say?
DON’T. SHAVE. YOUR. EYEBROWS. Gauchos are not real pants.
What are you most proud of?
My baby brother. He is my best friend and I am incredibly proud of the person he is. He makes me better in every way.
Ashley Kahriman – Recruitment Consultant
Ashley graduated from Temple University in 2015 with a focus in Communications and Advertising Account Management. After exploring several opportunities post-grad, she realized her passion for real estate and helping people find housing. She got started on acquiring her real estate license in 2018, began her career as a sales consultant with a luxury property management developer at a brand-new lease-up property in 2019, and was introduced to MSB in 2021! Now, she not only can help people find their dream home but also their dream career. Relationship building is her favorite hobby – and that is what drew her to recruiting. Her friends call her the “matchmaker”. When not at work, you will find her spending time together with her family, friends, and two Italian Greyhounds!

Chill, fun, and genuine.
What characteristic do you most admire in others?
People who are honest. Always tell the truth, or at least don’t lie.
If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
A farmer so I can hang with goats all day.
If you could give advice to your 13 year old self, what would you say?
Relax! Everything is temporary and emotions are fleeting. Enjoy the happy, embrace the sad – it’s all part of life!
What are you most proud of?
The family I come from and the values they’ve instilled in me: always be fair, treat people with kindness, and go with the flow.
Linda Wei – Managing Director
Linda joined MSB Resources in October 2021 to start the new Workplace Solutions division. With over 25 years of human resources and training development experience, Linda served as the Director of Human Resources for Drucker & Falk for over 17 years. Linda currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Peninsula Personnel Association, Foundation Board for Bon Secours, Mary Immaculate Hospital, Steering Committee for IMPACT 100 Greater Peninsula and was a Rotarian for over 12 years. Linda graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a BS in Marketing and Business Management and also attended George Washington University where she studied Human Resources Management and graduated with a degree in Fashion as well.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Loving, honest and fun.
What characteristic do you most admire in others?
Honesty.
If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
Work in the Gucci House designing clothes.
If you could give advice to your 13 year old self, what would you say?
Go with your passions and not what others are expecting. Take the risk and follow your gut!

My daughter.
Angela Irons – Talent Acquisition Specialist
Angela grew up in property management and has 13 years of property management experience herself, including conventional, tax-credit, and senior housing. As an adult, she went back to school and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University. Before joining MSB, Angela performed research for a government entity. A self-proclaimed bookworm, Angela enjoys spending time with family and anything to do with animals. She lives in Kentucky and enjoys visiting Cumberland Falls, which is gorgeous during the day; however, it is one of the few places in the world with a Moonbow.

Detailed, approachable and intelligent.
What characteristic do you most admire in others?
Loyalty, honesty and integrity.
If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
Assist with the care of manatees or giant pandas.

Plan less and enjoy more.
