How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Nerdy, adventurous, and compassionate
It’s a typical Saturday afternoon at 2pm, what are you doing?
Sitting on my deck or hiking with my dogs. I love and respect nature. We all have a vital part to play.
Where is the best place you have traveled and why?
I love meeting new people and exploring new places. Being in Assisi, Italy was spirit opening. It is a small town positioned snuggly on the hillside of a mountain; where people look out from small balconies and nuns walk down narrow streets in pairs yelling at those who run by. The Basilica is the most spiritual place I had ever been. Just being able to sit and observe others experience awe-inspiring architecture and history of this place put life back into perspective.
What characteristic do you most admire in others?
I admire others ability to be resilient and compassionate. It is so easy for people to become hardened by tough times and misfortune, but when someone experiences something traumatic and can still offer a hand or kind word to someone else… that is something to admire.
If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
Neuroscientist. I love science and would love to do nothing more than research the mind body connection.
What is the last gift you gave someone?
I gave my niece and son a bag of Sweet Chaos Cake Batter popcorn… because it is AMAZING!
If you could give advice to your 13 year old self, what would you say?
You are NOT as fat as you think you are AND do not be afraid to live your dream not everyone else’s.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you
I am a surfer. I’m the world’s worst surfer, but a surfer, nonetheless.
What are three things still left on your bucket list?
A pilgrimage through the Camino De Santiago, own a yoga studio, and spend the weekend at the Icehotel in Sweden.
What are you most proud of?
Starting from the bottom and now I am here.
